Whats good my people’s.  Good look for checking out the site and welcome to The Brooklyn Sound Xchange.  An artistic extension of GiKu Music.

It’s been a minute, yes indeedy a minute.  Was in a very deep place with the music process and have resurfaced with a more mature creative mind.  Be on the look out for weekly releases.

With all that, let me get into the goods.  Recently I vibed wit Chicago’s MC Tree G (aka Tree) for Brooklyn Radio and yo, I love finding dope music naturally.

Even though he’s been out for a minute, I had no idea how diverse his sound was and where he stood as an artist.

After hearing maybe 16 secs of his verse on the Ghostface and BadBadNotGood track “Street Knowledge”, I knew dude was gonna be ill.  I couldn’t wait to have an xchange and learn more.

It’s like this… every artist is different in that they are motivated and inspired by different shxt. For many its money, fame, sex and other obvious materialistic perks.  While others agendas vary.

It may be socially motivated, politically, racially whateva… there’s always something that would make a good talking point.  What this his story will be, was yet to be known.

After speaking, it became clear that once more ears caught wind to his production skills and dexterity on the mic, the industry hidden secret will be out the bag.  With the new release of the album Trap Genius, it’s surely his time to shine even brighter.

And world, i’m telling you now that the secretTree could be the next best thing to come out of Chicago since Kanye.  Time will tell if my foresight is correct, but many would agree.

Peep our Xchange on the first installment on Brooklyn Radio, I don’t want to spoil the fun.
